I'm a Republican.  I've been one all my life ... ok, with the exception of when Gary Hart was running in the primaries... he was cute, I was young. ;)  But honestly, I believe in less government... I believe in a free-for-all economy.  I do not believe millionaires are greedy, I believe they are incredibly intelligent.  People who vilify those that have more are simply jealous.  I honestly believe that.

But... I recently became involved in a conversation about requiring voters to provide identification before they vote.  I understand where people are coming from, but seriously... SHOW ME YOUR PAPERS... how can that be ok? 

Someone once told me that a California Republican would be a Democrat in any other state.  If that's true, then so be it.  I support a woman's right to choose - I am not God! I support the LGBT community - I am not God!  I was NOT put on this planet to judge my fellow human beings.  Alternatively, I am enabled, I am bound, I am empowered to choose the human beings that make me whole.  White, black, purple, I don't care.  I will never, ever, ever, endorse the socialist premise of leveling the playing field... if you want to play, up your game, this is the big leagues. This is the United States of America - we should not have to pay for your socialist medicine - I'm a poor person, don't tell me your bullshit.  If you need help, it's available.  If you want to whine and cry that the world is horrible to you, well guess what, life sucks and then you die.

All of this was a long way just to say.... all lives matter... all people matter...  I am sad that others don't adhere to that... especially the right... the left has a whole different set of problems
